by Allen L Roland

Tell A Friend

For a brief moment in time, Jimmy Carter told the unequivocal truth ~ " George W Bush is the worst president in the history of this country " ~ A statement that atleast 60% of Americans firmly believe, a statement that atleast 80% of the rest of the world believes, a truth that was needed to be told by a national leader to this moral coward  and unindicted criminal posing as a leader in the White House  ~  and then ~ in a matter of just a few days ~ Carter lost his backbone, retracted his statement ~ betraying not only himself and his party but also the millions of Americans who long for a national leader who will courageously speak and prove this obvious truth: Allen L Roland

Carter never had a leg to stand on

There is no question that Jimmy Carter was by far the worst President US has ever had. He toppled the Shah of Iran (as basically a domestic political move [because of the Shah's closeness to the Republicans] rather than proper strategy for the US). He replaced him with Khomeini...the whole thing blew back..and the Republicans secretly dealt behind his back with Khomeini... and thus humiliated Carter with the Hostage Crisis.   Meanwhile the Russians invaded Afghanistan and Carter set up the Taliban/Mujahedeen in Afghanistan to fight them off. AND, IT IS NOW CLEAR that Carter pushed Saddam Hussein to invade Iran in October 1980 ... creating an 8 year war with over 1 million deaths....emboldening Saddam Hussein....leading to the invasion of Kuwait, etc.

The key in all this was the following net result: (1) Islamic Fundamentalism, and Islamic Terrorism was established; (2)  US's strategic position in the Middle East (based in Iran) was lost; (3) Saddam Hussein was emboldened and a huge bloodbath was precipitated.

Now, more than 20 years later, Bush has invested over 400 Billion dollars, essentially trying to undo Carter's strategic mistakes...with Iran still untouched (and perhaps untouchable)... with the Mullahs in Iran now filthy rich and super influential all over the middle east ....undermining Iraqi, afghan and Lebanese democracy and funding hezbollah and Hamas Terrorists.

All because of Carter's strategic screw-ups. Carter never had a leg to stand on to open his mouth.

REPLY

How interesting ~ But it proves an important point ~ history is the judge of who was the best and who was the worst President . Carter at that time was very unpopular as Bush is now ~ but I feel history will be much kinder to Carter than the moron in the White House now ;-)
