Why just "spy" on the hijackers? Let's see, this week we'll "spy" on them, and next week we'll "spy" on them, and the week after that, and the week after that, and the week after that, and on and on and on...spending lots of time and effort and money...to what end? Just so we can "spy" on them?

No, that doesn't make much sense. Absent any information to the contrary, I submit that the Jewish supremacists not only had "advance knowledge", but in fact aided and abetted the hijackers. Hell, they most likely planned the job, recruited the hijackers, and then financed and micromanaged the whole 9/11 affair.

My gripe is very simple.

On this blog there are senseless attacks on Israel time after time. No one speaks out against them even though some of them are bordering on the anti-Semitic and sometimes are openly antii-Semitic.

I, too, believe the evidence should be followed to the true conclusions, and damn the politics. It is one thing to say Mossad knew about the 911 plot and were silent, it is another thing to say that it was a plot by Bush and Mossad that planted explosives in the towers, and all the while connecting the attack on an American navy vessel as being a deliberate attempt just to kill Americans.

Yours is the only comment that even remotely comes close to criticizing the Muslims terrorist as being evil. These people think that any attack on the Muslim terrorist is an attack on Islam, but an attack on Israel or Zionism is not an attack on Jews.

People were silent in Europe for twelve years as Germany began the worst pogrom against Jews in history. If people had spoken up when the Constitution was changed allowing Hitler to be both Chancellor and President, if people had spoken up on KrystalNight, if people had spoken up when Jews were forced out of the public schools and the universities, the Holocaust would never have happened. I intend to speak up.

I do not condone what Israel is doing in the West Bank and Gaza under the leadership of Likud. Israel does end up killing innocent bystanders as they attempt to kill the terrorist leaders. No one disputes that those they kill as targets are directly responsible for the rockets and the suicide bombers. No one accuses Israel of deliberately targeting civilians. No one disputes that the terrorists deliberately target civilians and only civilians. No one disputes that they try to excuse themselves by saying there are no such thing as innocent civilians in Israel because all the Jews are there illegally; therefore the terrorist have a right to target market places and school buses. No one disputes that over a thousand rockets were shot into Israel this last year from Palestine. No one disputes that hundreds of Israeli have been wounded and killed by those rockets in the past year. No one disputes that Hamas has vowed the destruction of Israel. No one disputes that there is an active state of war existing between Israel and Hamas. No one disputes that Hamas is politically in charge of Palestine and responsible for those attacks.

You will never read any of this on any of these comments and articles, but you will read attack after attack on Israel.  It would be nice to hear some of you say, "Israel has a right to exist as a nation, and Hamas must recognize Israel immediately."

From where I sit,                                                                                              1. Hamas must immediately recognize Israel's right to exist.                                                                                                               2. Hamas must renounce firing of rockets into a sovereign nation.                                                                                                             3. Hamas must denounce suicide bombing and targeting of civilians as a tool of war.                                                                                                                4. Israel must cede territory conquered in the '67 war.                                                                                                                         5. Gaza and the West Bank must be physically united.                                                                                                                         6. There must be a workable solution to east Jerusalem for Christians, Jews and Muslims.                                                                                                          7. They do not have to love each other; they do have to respect each other.

I feel for the Palestinian people. They are caught between a radical Islamic religous group called Hamas and a secular political group called Fatah that is trying very hard to renounce terrorism with Likud in Israel making the situation worse by giving in to the radical right religious minority in Israel.

The days ahead look threating for both Isreal and Palestine.

The piece traces the evidence, much of publsihed by The Forward in 2002. Do you really believe that The Forward is anti-Semitic?

No one even brought up the Holocaust (it's occurence is not a debate for serious people).

"(A)nti-semitic" "uncle toms," that's a new one for The Forward.

Forget the commnet you refer to, and read the piece, and then you can cast down all of liberal Jewry as self-hating Jews, or whatever silliness tickles your fancy.

Your point of the dating of the calendar dating is superfluous, but you know that.

It may have been my cutting and pasting out of the newspaper which was in error; in any case "eastern" was not capitalized. The article did refer to East Germany, it was in the "east" part of Germany. The crime took place last year, the sentencing took place last week, but you know that, too. It is why these comments are evil and not ignorant.

This article and the comments remain anti-Semitic, and you know very well they are. It is just using Israel, Mossad and Zionism to attack Jews. In a time of war when you are facing  armies attempting physically to invade your country, with those armies outnumbering you ten to one, well equipped  and with the stated purpose of wiping you off the face of the earth, things happen in the heat of the battle which should not happen.

To believe that Israel intentionally fired on an American ship is ridiculous, and refutes your own silly premise as you say Israel is only an American puppet against Islam; whereas you turn around to say Israel attacks an American ship and was responsible for 911 with the Bush Administration serving as accomplices. You care not whether the Bush Adminstration was involved or not. You jus want Israel to be blamed so the world will help you to destroy the Jew.

I find those who defend terrorism have no shame and no respect for life itself. You're absolutely right.

Also, the head Jewish supremacist agent, Dom Suter, left the country in one hell of a hurry...much more of a hurry than someone who merely had "foreknowledge", IMO. Foreknowledge can almost be explained away by a good bullshitter, lied about, etc. 

The Jewish supremacists likely recruited the perpetrators, financed the operation, made sure the attacks happened on the right day, with no interference from FBI, air-defenses, etc.

It makes no sense at all that the Jewish supremacists merely "spied" on the hijackers.

Nor does it make sense that there were no claims of responsibility. If the attack were "legitimate", someone would make sure the message got out about who did it and why, and stuff like "if you don't stop your bloody imperialism, we'll do it again, blah blah blah..."

(BTW, IMO, Alex Cockburn is generally very insightful and rigorous, but when he misses the boat, he misses it by a mile).
